Hello, I'm Ankita!
I am a Digital Designer based in the UK who enjoys exploring software and technology to create both commercial and conceptual pieces of art and digital design. When it comes to my practice I find the research, journey of experimentation and work that goes behind a project the most intriguing part. I am especially interested in storytelling and the breadth of the imagination that can ultimately lead to the creation of expansive fictional narratives. I often work with bright colours, bold text and sketchy imagery spanning from user interfaces to expressive installation art pieces.
Over the weekends I find myself perusing the shelves of Forbidden Planet for the newest issues of my favourite comics, drinking an excessive amount of hot chocolates as I challenge my friends to sessions of Monopoly or Scrabble (or any other board game that catches our interest), and creating extensive RPG universes for short campaigns. I am an avid film watcher. You can find me, carton of grapes in hand, at the midnight premiere of the latest cinematic releases. Other hobbies also include cooking and baking, partaking in themed events (especially ones where costumes are compulsory), jumping about at concerts, karaoke and building otherwise architecturally impossible houses in the Sims.
